Member wins Six Feet Under DVD set during October "Make A Will Month"

January 24, 2004 -- Affiliate websites of PartingWishes.com (www.USLegalWills.com and www.LegalWills.ca) ran a "Six Feet Under" contest through the month of October, 2003.  This contest was to promote the October "Make A Will Month" at these web sites. 

All visitors who created a Last Will and Testament were entered into a prize draw to win the complete first season of the HBO award winning drama “Six Feet Under” on DVD (Six Feet Under: The Complete First Season boxed set of 4 DVD's).

The draw was held on November 6, 2003 and the lucky winner was Kathryn Wilson of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  Kathryn was delighted in being randomly selected as the prize winner.  She stated "Wow, I feel really lucky and to boot I like the series Six Feet Under!"

About Six Feet Under

One of the most acclaimed shows on television, Six Feet Under is a darkly comic look at the Fishers, a dysfunctional family who own and operate an independent funeral home in Los Angeles. Patriarch Nathaniel Fisher is no longer living (except in the hearts and visions of his family). So his wife Ruth, sons Nate and David, and daughter Claire are left to cope with the routine and not-so-routine aspects of life in the grief-management business. Six Feet Under's cast includes Peter Krause as elder son Nate Fisher who struggles to balance his career as a co-owner of Fisher & Sons with a complicated family life that includes sudden fatherhood; Frances Conroy as Ruth Fisher, the family matriarch, who wants, more than anything else, to have close relationships with her children and grandchild; Michael C. Hall as younger son David Fisher, who has come out of the closet and moved in with his partner, the emotionally troubled Keith Charles (Mathew ST Patrick); Lauren Ambrose as Claire Fisher, the restless and artistically gifted teenage daughter.

The Fishers' lives are intertwined with friends and loved ones, both living and deceased; Lili Taylor as Lisa, Nate's old friend from Seattle who is the mother of his infant daughter; Freddy Rodriguez as Federico Diaz, the young mortician and family man who has risen from employee of Fisher & Sons to partner; Justina Machado as Federico's strong-willed wife, Vanessa; Patricia Clarkson as Sarah O'Connor, Ruth's younger and seemingly free-spirited sister; Rachel Griffiths as Nate's one-time fiancee, Brenda Chenowith, whose relationships with her own family - especially her mother, Margaret (Joanna Cassidy)- might be more dysfunctional than any of the Fishers'; and Richard Jenkins as Nathaniel Fisher Sr., the deceased patriarch, who reappears in flashbacks and daydream-like visitations, serving both as a comfort and conscience to those he left behind.

Six Feet Under was created, co-written and executive produced by Alan Ball, who wrote the screenplay for the award-winning film AMERICAN BEAUTY. Other executive producers include Robert Greenblatt, David Janollari and Alan Poul. The Co-Executive Producer is Bruce Eric Kaplan and the Supervising Producers are Rick Cleveland, Scott Buck and Jill Soloway. The Producer is Kate Robin.
