July 23, 2001 -- Today, PartingWishes.com unveils the MyMessages™ service, which allows members to prepare multimedia messages to be delivered after they have passed away.

Do you have any important messages you wish you could communicate if you were to suddenly pass away?  Would you want to tell someone how much you loved them, or express thanks to people who influenced your life, or reveal a secret?  It is for these reasons and more that the MyMessages™ service exists.

As a member at PartingWishes.com you can designate trusted "Keyholders®", who are given the important responsibility of unlocking your wishes at the appropriate time, using their unique and secure Keyholder® ID.  With MyMessages™, you can write messages to your family, friends, colleagues or even strangers.  We take care of delivering them to your recipients once they are released by your designated Keyholder® after you have passed away.  You can send text messages, but why stop there?  If you wish, you can even attach a document or send voice, pictures or video messages.  Let your imagination be your guide for how you wish to be remembered.

To guard against the premature release of any messages, they are only sent to your intended recipients after a period of time set by you.  During that time, you may block the sending of messages.  Furthermore, your messages are completely private.  No one can see what you've written, not even your designated Keyholders® nor anyone at PartingWishes.com.
