Margaret Funderburk raised 6 children practilly on her own. She liked fish, arts and crafts, all kinds of flowers, church, Christian Music and Jesus. Her best talent was in the making of her Afghan blankets made for unwed mothers and their infants. She never asked for a dime for them. Some were donated to the Catherine Foundation in California and others were made for family and friends. All was done out of love.
During the year she was born, the following events occured:The U.S. troops are withdrawn from Germany, The Mexican rebel leader Pancho Villa is assassinated, The U.S. awards formal recognition to Mexico, The first wireless telephone call sent via radio waves is made from New York to London,President Harding dies of a stroke in a San Francisco Hotel room.

Personal Notes

I came to know Christ as my personal savior because mother insisted that I attend church as a child. At the age of 13, during a church service the Pastor was preaching on John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." I believed that Jesus died for me and asked him to come into my heart. Praise God for my mother's faithful in taking me to church.
