Frances Annetta Kimberl of Sierra Vista, Ariz., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 10, 2000, after a 

yearlong battle with cancer. Frances was surrounded by her loving family and friends at home, which was her wish.

 She was born in Charlotte, N.C., to William and Mildred Campbell on March 4, 1927. After moving to Maryland, she 

graduated as an honor student from Sandy Spring High School in 1945. From there she began working for the U.S. 

government at the War Department, Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. In 1962, she began working for the city of Laurel in Maryland until she and her husband, James Kimberl, moved to Sierra Vista. She again worked for civil 

service on Fort Huachuca until she retired in 1989.

Frances was best known for her artistic talents as a doll maker. She and Jim began "Porcelain Pretties" by Frances and appeared in numerous doll shows throughout the country where she won both national and international ribbons and 

trophies in various categories. She was a gifted and popular artist at Sierra Vista's Art in the Park. 

 Frances never seemed to meet a stranger, especially when it came to dolls, which she lovingly created from head to toe. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who gave them love, laughter and a solid sense of family. While she loved making dolls, she also loved cooking and caring for her family. 

 She made every holiday special and many people were recipients of her unselfish giving. She knew the 

secret to love - the more you give to others, the more you receive.

 Her last days in her earthly home were spent with all her family and friends remembering the fullness of her 73 years with joy, laughter and love.

 Frances was baptized in January of this year and she and her husband are members of First Baptist Church in Sierra 

Vista. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, James E. Kimberl of Sierra Vista; children, Francine (Charles)Biere of Sierra Vista, Raymond P. (Christine) Fochler of Naples, Fla., Georgeann (Armand) Celani of Sierra Vista, Joseph W. (Doris) Fochler of Burtonsville, Md., Sandra (Ron) Hill of Sierra Vista, Karen (John) Troyan of Tucson, Ariz., Chris (Tom) Dzik of Tucson, Karla (Mike) Taylor of Springerville, Ariz., Kelly (Scott) Master of Tucson and Kathy (Dave) Archey of Tucson; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert C. Campbell of Sebastian, Fla. and Donald Campbell of Savage, Md., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond P. Fochler, her parents and her sister.
