Teresa Marie Johnson was born to Eddie & Ruby Johnson on May 19, 1959 in Bethany, Oklahoma. She was 1 of 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys.

Teresa is survived by her 2 children: Mindy Bishop & Matthew Bishop and one grandchild, Mauricio – all of Salem, four sisters: Lula Miller, Glenda Widby, Jody Orman & Patsy Koenig, 2 brothers: Jamie Johnson & Wayne Johnson – all of Salem.

Teresa liked to make things. She loved crafts, beadwork and sewing. One of her favorite pastimes was to stroll along the beach, when she had the strength, looking for sea shells and beautiful round rocks.

Eddie & Ruby Johnson decided to move to Oregon in 1959. Teresa was only a few months old at the time. She made the long trip with ease, that’s because she traveled on a featherbed pillow all the way. Teresa was a happy child most of the time. Oh yes & she could get unhappy real fast and when she did – Boy, the sparks would fly! Mom said her temper came from her red curly hair.

Time just seemed to fly by and Teresa started to school. She went to grade school with Tammy Orman, Jody & Louis’ daughter. They have been steadfast friends ever since. Not only was she Tammy’s aunt, but she was also her very best friend. Jody recalls the time that Teresa and Tammy sat out in the hot sun for four hours at the Salem Armory to get tickets for a John Denver concert. Needless to say, both being red-headed, they looked like a couple of boiled lobsters when they got home.
