Come Sail Away
Written by Dennis DeYoung
Lead Vocals by Dennis DeYoung

I'm sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
I've got to be free, free to face the life that's ahead of me
On board, I'm the captain, so climb aboard
We'll search for tomorrow on every shore
And I'll try, oh Lord, I'll try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold
But we'll try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies
Singing come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

Sometimes a soul shines so bright that the world is blinded by her love. And when God calls her home, she sets sail on the oceans of our tears.

Sail on, Heather! But first, a few things for your Journey:
From Mom, your Lifejacket of memories we all hold so dear.
From Dad, some extra spending money stashed by the keel.
From Alicia, an unending supply of bananas. You never know when you'll need to bribe a monkey.
From Ryan, his "Jolly Roger" for those adventurous moments.
From Emilia, a pocket full of kisses and a blanket of hugs to keep you warm.
From Jesus, your passport and your docking fees.

We will always love you, Heather

Personal Notes

Happy Valentine's Day, Heather! To all Heather's loved ones: Heather's mom wished she saved the Heather stories that we shared with her. We would be thankful if you shared them again. Feel free to use any type of humor, even if it "smells a bit off." (ie "Heather, first you get your wings, then you fly. Always in the right order, my dear.")FINALLY:IF SOMETHING DOES NOT UPLOAD, EMAIL ME FROM-http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=159346449. THANKS!

I will never forget The Blair Witch Project- "Ransom Chapter."

I understand there were a lot of "productions" of varying flavor...something about dancing on top of mom's esteeemed dining room table.

I have heard a lot of comments about the beauty of Heather's eyes. Such was the case even when I first met Heather when she was three years old. As beautiful as Heather's eyes were, then the eyes truly are the window to one's soul.

A little of Heather's notable contributions (work in progress!). Heather E. Lolling was a supply specialist for the 444th Chemical Company in Monmouth in the Illinois Army National Guard. Being the daughter of two very patriotic parents, this was only natural. Mom retired from the ILARNG and Dad is near retirement. Heather recently became involved in recruitment. I believe this was the ILARNG secret weapon. That girl could get you to do anything!

Heather,
You and your family were such a bright spot in our lives for the brief time that we lived in Ransom.
You especially made that time for us enjoyable, and whenever I think back to that time,I always think of you first.I think of how adventurous you were, your sense of humor, your laughter when you really thought something was funny, and your Beautiful Smile.Heather you will be missed, for you were truly a wonderful person and you made a difference to all who knew you.
