This memorial website was created in memory of Jerry Gonzalez, born on June 29, 1970 and who went home on August 18, 2007. Who's heart and spirit were made of steel. His friendship was always a gift. I had the honors of not only being his friend but sharing 37 years of his life as his cousin, sister and friend.

When I think of Jerry it brings me back to 395 Melrose street, Brooklyn, NY. The fun we use to have on that block.

My fondes memories are those overnight weekends. He use to drive my mom crazy with his jokes. There was always a smile on his face. He loved taking my shoes and hiding one of them just so I wouldn't go outside with him and Willie to play.

How I would want Jerry to be remember?

Remember him with a smile on his face. A person that would always have your back when you needed him. Someone that loveD his family more then anything. A loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend.

Most of all remember him as the person that he was will always be in our hearts

Remembering You

Your time on earth seemed all too brief
because I wanted you in my life forever.
And although I really miss you,
in my heart I know that you are at peace.
Still, countless times throughout the day
I find myself remembering you.
Although I cannot see or hear you,
I know that you are with me.
I'll feel you in the warmth of the summer sun.
I'll see you in the brilliance of autumn leaves.
You'll be beside me in the peacefulness of a gentle snowfall and rejoice with me at the emergence
of the first flowers of spring.
I'm thankful for the times we shared
and the priceless memories too;
for those memories are a comfort now when I lovingly -
Remember You.

We Love You

Personal Notes

God Saw You...

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
