Anais attended St. Dominic School,
Bx, N.Y.

On January 24, 2002 ....Anais was diagnosed with CML Leukemia....

after 7 months of treatment....On August 13, 2002 Anais underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant....Her big Sister Ysatis was her Hero...donating her bone marrow to save her sisters life.

8 months later, In April 2003 Anais began having lung complications..due to a series of lung diseases that rejected her donated Bone Marrow.and diseased her lungs.. GVHD,Boop and Emphisema

Anais fought like a true warrior..against her fatal disease. Finally after 34 days in intensive care...and the fight of her life....

Anais exited ours.....Anais Astrid Jimenez died on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 @ 8:46am....

My life has changed drastically...with the passing of hers....She is greatly missed..by everyone who knew her....

Her family..and extended family can`t even begin to grip the reality that our Angel is gone!

Anais is survived by her mother Astrid M. Santiago, who`s every living moment since her passing has been painstakingly impossible to bear. By her father Francisco W. Jimenez who`ll simply never be the same, by her eldest sibling Wilfredo L. Jimenez and her older sister Ysatis C. Jimenez, who has fled the reality of a city who tore her baby sister`s life from hers..

Anais too...is survived by countless family members such as maternal and paternal Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and cousins...
and some of us that although not blood related lived and strived for her survival and today for her memory.

Personal Notes

Dear little sufferer once so brisk
ang gay. By sharp disease we saw
thee pine away. Short was thy stay
within this land of tears. And few the
number of thy fleeting years.

-Epitaph from an early American tombstone

"God Saw You Getting Tired"

God saw you getting tired
and a Cure was not meant
to be. So He put his `arms
around you and He said
" Come to Me. "
With tearful eyes we
watched you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
a young bright mind at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
to us, He only takes the best."

A million words wont bring u back I know because I`ve tried, Neither will a million tears I know because I`ve cried...
