Elaine was one amazing person and the gifts that she gave in life will be passed on and on through the lives of those they touched.

On the morning of Feb. 25 2008, Elaine was relieved from her battle with cancer and the toll that it took on her mind and her body.

Funeral will be held at 11am March 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Prince George BC.

She would love to know that you were there :D

Elaine was planning to walk in the Relay for a Cure, in her honor a page has been setup for donations. This would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

ELAINE HODGSON February 5th, 1964 - February 25th, 2008 Elaine was born in Durban, South Africa and moved with her family to Canada in 1970. Always a fighter, she won two battles with cancer but lost the third. She was an active volunteer in the community and loved her work with children and young people. She believed in their ability to succeed and was able to help them achieve their dreams and ambitions. When asked how she managed to cope when things were bad, her answer was, "Friends, Faith and Family". She is survived by her parents, John and Beth Hodgson, sisters Lynn Hardy and Jill (Davy) Greenlees; nieces Susan and Sara Hardy, nephews John Makaro, Dirk and Liam Greenlees, and other relatives, by blood and 'adoption'. A funeral mass for Elaine will be held at 11am Saturday, March 1st, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Fr. John Garden presiding. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society, CNIB or the charity of your choice. Elaine believed in 'giving to the living'.
