Penny was a loving mother, wife and friend; she always helped who ever needed it the most. If you were ever in search of something Penny could find it or knew someone that had it. It was a unique gift that was often joked about. She enjoyed many things in life; in the early years as an adult the beach was on the top of that list. A beach day consisted of getting up at the crack of dawn, driving to southern RI, or West Dennis, MA. Once arriving the unpacking would begin, she tried to make it light and loved her own beach chair with a book. A day at the beach was exactly that, a complete day from dawn to dusk and do not ask when we were leaving..... Your answer would be never.
Penny was a person who enjoyed a visitor or two and was a great host, you would never leave hungry, or without a smile. A game of cards was always more than just a game, the ongoing conversation and jokes were part of the comfort at the kitchen table.
Saturday and Sundays from Memorial Day to Labor Day, were flea-market, yard sale, or let’s go find a prize today. Her love of looking though other peoples old stuff was remarkable, one of her dreams was to have a used items store. Her ability to foresee a purpose for what she bought was amazing, even though most of the time her theories did not always pan out.
Penny was the life of any gathering, from her style that was eccentric to her loving ways. She will be greatly missed by many.
