Yvonne passed peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She is held in the heart of her soul mate and husband Chad Coe of Ottawa and lovingly remembered by her children Stephen Collins and John Collins of Ottawa, and Rolanda Coe of Bolton. She welcomed and loved Steve’s wife Lynne and John’s wife Mary as daughters, and they loved her as a mother. She filled days with joy, sang songs, and played games with her beloved grandchildren Shawn, Eric, and Crystal Collins of Ottawa, and Cyanne John of Bolton, and deeply touched the lives of her God-children Luke and Christian Emond of Brighton. 



Yvonne grabbed life by the collar from the day she was born in Summerside, P.E.I. She was an award-winning singer in school, and a sought-after fashion model in Summerside, but at a young age she wanted more than her small town could offer and hit the road as a singer and guitar player with ‘Bob White & The Canadian Playboys.’ Yvonne enriched the lives of many throughout her working career. She was the most popular tender in every bar she worked, making each place her own and leaving smiles and memories wherever she touched. As a fearless photographer working with her husband Chad as editor on various newspapers, Yvonne captured the world as only she could, and showed it to all of us in new ways; by Chad’s side as co-owner of the safety school she showed remarkable business acumen for many years. 



Family and friends were most important to Yvonne, but she also loved the countryside, music, and adventure. She used to say aging doesn't matter as long as you are happy. Yvonne left us young. She will be remembered, loved, and missed my many. 



A memorial service was held at the chapel at Hope Cemetery on Bank Street in Ottawa on Saturday, July 23rd at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvonne’s name to the Regional Cancer Foundation, 1500 Alta Vista Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 3Y9, would be much appreciated. Contributions will be earmarked for lymphoma research.
