IN LOVING MEMORY

Jennie S. Edler was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lived 92 wonderful years.
She had a wonderful daughter name Brenda and a son name Wayne. She had 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

I am one of her grandchildren and knew her for 31 years. My earliest memory of her was when I was about 6 years old my mom dropped me off at Mawmaw's and Pawpaw's house...I missed my mom soooo much that I had her come pick me up in the middle of the night...I remember my Mawmaw not wanting me to go but I couldn't stand to be away from my mom. Well that didn't last too long...as I got older I grew out of that.

Mawmaw was a very caring, loving, and giving woman. She always made me feel better when I was down. She always gave me the best advice...she always made me feel better. Even up until she passed she was still smiling, laughing, joking, just always in good spirits. She loved the casino's, especially the slot machines.

She was an independant, strong willed, religous human being. Every Thursday she would drive herself to her niece's house(Janet)to have her hair done and also to visit with her sister(Rose). Her and Rose were like two peas in a pod. When Mamaw would spend nights by Aunt Roses' house they would stay up 'till 4am playing a card game rummy 500. They were not only sisters' but best friends. She stopped driving up until she was about 90 years old. I lived behind her house and would help as much as I could to take care of her,(get groceries, laundry, dinner).

There came a point when she needed 24hr. care. So she moved in with her daughter and son-inlaw who took great care of her for the next 2 years. After the first year my Mawmaw became even more ill and hospice helped take care of her while still living with her daughter. Odysee(hospice) did a wonderful job, their staff of nurses, nurses aids, and volunteers really brought a smile to my Mawmaw's face. Especially the volunteer who came twice a week for nearly 5 months. Her name is Barbra and my family and I want to give a special thanks to her. She always brought a gift for my mawmaw, a card, flowers, but most of all a smile.

We will all miss her so very much and she will always be in our hearts and memory.

Now she can run foot loose and fancy free.....

Love Always,
Renee',Brenda,Melissa,Family, and friends.
