Madeline Olive Miller Emery, 84, in loving memory of our dearest wife, sister, mother, grandmother and “Nan” to all who knew her, passed over to our Heavenly Father on June 10, 2003 at the home of her daughter Cheryl, where she has resided and been cared for over the past 5 years. Madeline was born in Ridgeway, MO on September 24, 1918. She later moved with her family to Ark City, KS. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Cort of Sun City/Omaha, NE, sister Mary Lucy Neumann of Ark City, KS, son Roger of Tucson, AZ, daughter Cheryl of Phoenix, AZ, grandson Sean of Omaha, NE and her granddaughter Sara of East Providence, RI. In 1939 Madeline attended Business College in Wichita, KS where she met and later married the love of her life, Cort Emery on September 14, 1941. They later moved to Omaha, NE where they were long-time residents and NE Cornhusker Football fans. In 1995 they relocated to Sun City, AZ to be close to their family. Madeline was a very active member of her local Methodist Church in Omaha. She also volunteered for many charities and organizations throughout her lifetime. She truly was a loving, noble woman of God and leaves a beautiful legacy of love behind in her family. A memorial service will be held in her loving honor on Friday, July 11th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 224 N. “A” Street, Ark City, KS. The memorial service begins at 11:00 A.M.
