You'll be in our hearts forever Dad!
Added by Love, Linda

God saw you were getting tired,

and a cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around you and whispered,

"Come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,

and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest;

God broke our hearts to prove to us;

He only takes the best.

Our Grandfather...

He found his peace...and before he left, he comforted us. He told those he loved the secrets of a life lived fully. He retold stories that should be remembered. He gave us memories to pass on to those not fortunate enough to know him as we did. He was ready before we were...knowing he left nothing unfinished...knowing he would live on in our hearts forever.

There are days when I find it almost unbearable to believe I won't be able to laugh with you anymore, or hear you tell a funny joke. Everyday I wonder what heaven must be like and I'm thankful that you are at peace. I will always hope that you heard my whispers in your ear the night you passed away. If you did, you know that I'll be with you again someday and then we can laugh and joke together again!
