Robert Earl “Bob” Keys was born January 23, 1963 to Annie & Scott Keys, Sr. in Jefferson County. He departed this life and brought deep sadness to our hearts on October 2, 2004.

Robert Earl “Bob” Keys received his education in the Jefferson County school system. He joined Fellowship Baptist Church at an early age. He was a former employee at Alcorn State University for 14 years. Bob, as he was affectionally called, touched the lives of all those he encountered, and would work your nerves at times, but he had what God had given him, the biggest giving heart in the world. He was the most kindest, most generous person that anyone could meet; he never met a stranger.

Bob leaves to cherish his fondest and happiest memories: his loving and caring parents; Annie & Scott Keys, Sr., three sisters: Estella, Lorman, MS; LeVonne Bailey of Natchez, MS; and half , Sadie Fells, Chicago, IL; five brothers: Scott, Jr. (Kathleen), Aaron, Curtis, Jimmie (Carolyn) all of Lorman, MS; and Thomas, Erlangen, W/Germany; nine nieces: Ella, Fayette, MS; Patricia, Joann Shevette, and Desdemona Gaines, all of Lorman, MS; Jamie (Kendrick) Phillips of Port Gibson, MS; Nakondria and Kaiysha Bailey of Natchez, MS; one god niece: Frances Patterson of Natchez, MS; eight great nieces: Tanesha James, Tilja and Tyra Gaines, Nykyria and Amiah, all of Fayette, MS; Dana and Dejah of Wahiawa, HI; and Kaylan Harried of Lorman, MS; nine nephews: Scott IV (Josephine), Wahiawa, HI; Quaktease, Fayette, MS; Aaron, Jr., Atlanta, GA; Douglas, Cornelious ‘Jabarge’ Carr, Antonio, Quintin, Jhavarian, Zachary Brown, all of Lorman, MS; five great nephews: Cameron, Natchez, MS; Tyrese and Devante of Wahiawa, HI; and Deionne and Jamison Gaines of Lorman, MS; one special uncle: Talma Keys, Memphis, TN; three special cousins: AJ Carpenter, Sr., Ethel Mae Jones and Margaret ‘Pete’ Coleman, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bob’s Special Friends: Clarence Johnson, Albert Williams, Ray Fells, Rev. Robert Robinson, Albert Brown, Jerry Fulton, Milton Dorsey, Wilford ‘Doll’ Fells, Julius Chambers, Earl O’Quinn and Robert Cranfield.

Personal Notes

My Uncle Bob was one of a kind, he can never be replaced. I loved him in life and now in death. A piece of my heart is gone and I can't get it back, but I thank God for sharing him with me for 34 years. One of my favorites, resting in peace, and will never be forgotten.
