George was born in Wichita, KS on August 13, 1948. He dreamed of becoming a doctor and in 1980 that dream came true. He began practicing medicine as a D.O. in the Dallas area.

George married Mary Katherine Joseph in 1968. They had two children, Cindy in 1968 and Bryan in 1972. During their marriage they lived in Coffeyville, KS, Kirksville, MO, Des Peres, MO, and Grand Prairie, TX.

In the 1990s George suffered heart problems and had to give up his chosen profession. However, he remained generous to his friends and family up to the time of his death on November 8, 2004.

Arrangements have been made for us to gather for a
sharing of memories at the Golden Corral, 1102 N. SH360

Personal Notes

"I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12

These words were on a poster on the wall of George's apartment. It was all I needed to know about George. I miss him; I loved him. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mat 5:4. Your Sister In Christ.

Dear Ones, The passing of George Gross touches my heart because I felt that I knew him. My friend and his, Linda, told me of his struggles in life and how he faced them. His stamina, intelligence, perseverance, appreciation and kindness left an indelible mark on us. My prayers are with all of you. Please be kind to each other, call George's name often in conversation, and remember the good times you shared with him. God Bless,

To George's Family,
I wanted to let you know that George was always kind to me and my son. He gave me a place to sleep and food to eat when we had neither. He gave me money he could not afford to part with. He gave me a second chance in life. I will always love him for that. May he rest in peace.

Dear Family,
We were sorry to learn of George's passing. Please know he was very kind to us and brought us a large basket of tennis balls. We enjoy playing with them. George was kind and affectionate to all of us even though Gus growled at him. We are Linda's dogs...respectfully,
