TO OUR DEAREST MOTHER
I shall start with the epitaph written on the wooden cross, from the grave of Veronica Micle, near the beautiful silver woods:
POWDER and DUST you will become. Because this is the world’s unwritten law:
NOTHING brings you, NOTHING takes you
NOTHING from you, will be left behind
To this beautiful lines, I wish to add a few words:
You have been a perfect wife, MOTHER and GRAND MOTHER, you devoted your entire life to us, you guided us on the most beautiful roads of life, you surrounded us with an immeasurable power of sacrifice and unlimited LOVE.
This endless LOVE, gives us today strength, force and dignity, to be able to face this very sad moment of our life.
Our hearts are bleeding, but the beautiful memories you left behind, will smooth our sadness and immense pain.
As a prediction you had in your youth, you have been like an emigrant bird over the oceans, today you are traveling again, you are changing your little home, you are leaving a rose garden, and you are going to a new garden, full of Olive trees, and from there you will protect us, as you have been protecting us your entire life.
GOD shall brighten for EVER this “ OLIVES GARDEN “
