About Bob:
(This section is Tanja Longhibler's contribution to this memorial site, please forgive me if I have stated some information that has already been written above)

Robert Floyd Longhibler was born to Floyd Longhibler and Jeanette Paul-Longhibler on November 3rd, 1942. He was their first child together, and Floyd's second child. Bobby as he was known when he was young, had two sisters. Bob's older sister Joan Longhibler-Covington, and his younger sister Sheri Longhibler-Griswold have survived Bob and his parents.

Bob married three times in his life, during his marriage to Maj-Britt Willen, Bob's three children were born. In August of 1964 Cassandra Lynn Longhibler was born, in August of 1965 Tanja Lea Longhibler was born, and in January of 1967 Robert Anthony Longhibler was born.

Bob spent most of his working years as a meatcutter working in various local grocery stores. When the jobs in meatcutting dwindled, he worked as a caretaker to a family and their elderly father. Later in life Bob worked at a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation half-way house as a counselor and as a house manager. In addition to that job he also spent many hours as a volunteer working at Alexian Brothers Hospital.

Bob's surving family is composed of his children and grandchildren, Cassandra McDermott and her children; Linnea Nicole Longhibler(18), Edwin Donald Marc McDermott(10), and Alissa Grace McDermott(4). Tanja Lea Longhibler and her children; Kayla Geniesse Williams(16), Delayna Noelle Longhibler-Jones(11), and Kristopher Davon Jones(7).

It's Christmas again, I wonder if dad is up there watching all of us, seeing the kids growing like weeds. We'll miss him on Christmas day when the family gathers.
