A Loving and Devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Graduating from Georgia College in Millegeville and devoting his work and career as a Computer Programmer and Eventually Progam Manager at the Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Gordy was dedicated to his church family of Centerville First Baptist and served in the past as a Deacon, Sunday School Assistant to the Sunday School Superintendant and active in the Sam Morgan's Sunday School Class. After Retiring from the Base, Mr. Gordy worked for Pave Paws and later H & R Block. The best part of his life was owning his own tax business "Gordy Tax Service". Next to his family and dearest friends, he enjoyed people and considered his tax clients as part of his extended family eagerly assisting them with their tax needs and even caring for them as if they ideed were part of his family. Mr. Gordy had so many dear friends and found it a joy to spend as much time with them, with his family, and especially his Grandchildren. Mr. Gordy was known for his warm hugs and great, big smile and a laugh that would light up a room. Mr. Gordy enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, planting flowers and keeping his swimming pool sparkling clean for his children and grandchildren and all the friends that came to share in the Summer Fun. Mr. Gordy walked daily with the Galleria Mall Walkers and greeted each of them with that great big warm smile. Mr. Gordy exemplified a life of devotion to His Precious Lord and Savior through all that he did. It is with great sadness that we all miss him but with great joy that Mr. Gordy is spending eternity with Jesus. It is with great anticipation that we all look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven and until then, know that Mr. Gordy's greatest desire was to share his love for Jesus in all that he did so that his family and friends will also one day join him celebrating the biggest reunion of all in Heaven with him and all those Christian loved ones that have gone before us. May we each remember the fun times and joy that this Precious One brought to us and look forward to our reunion in Heaven.
