John was a gentle loving person. Born in 1940 in Norfolk , Va. John was a member of First United Methodist Church were he was a decon in the church. John graduated from Booker T. Washington High school . While attending BTW John met and fell in love with Geraldine Crocker. On Feburary 20 ,1960 John and Geraldine married. John is the loving father of four children . John L. Crocker of Norfolk , Va. Marvin L. Ricks of Norfolk , Va. Andre Ricks of Virginia Beach , Va. and Aleta M. West of Norfolk , Va.John has 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
