Belinda (Mattiza) Edwards 1958-2006 Belinda's courageous battle with cancer ended Sunday, July 23rd, surrounded by the love of her husband and four daughters. She fought valiantly and her spirit was radiant to the end. All who knew her can find joy in reflecting on her life and the genuine love she spread to everyone she knew. She now rests in peace. Belinda was a spirited, determined and nurturing woman who took as much pride in her friendships and relationships as she did her family. Her infectious smile and caring persona touched all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. The net she cast was far reaching and full of her special magic. No words can describe how much she will be missed by her family and all who were touched by her perpetual kindness. This world needs more like her. Left to enjoy her wonderful memories are her husband, Joe, daughters, Heather Edwards, Lauren Whatley, Christina Whatley, Angela (Yousaf) Hassan and their 2 beautiful children Naveed and Amira. Her parents, Odes and Betty Mattiza of Lafayette, La and brother Bill Mattiza are deeply grieved in her passing. We love you B and will miss you immensely. We will continue to Bstrong. A celebration of Belinda’s life for all who knew her and were touched by her love will be held at Red Butte Gardens (special events entrance) on Saturday, August 5th at 9:30 am.
