Dear Hortie Family: My memories of Billy are of a positive, energetic neighbor and classmate at Parkdale High School. He always made me laugh, and was a true friend. You all were great neighbors down the street in Kingswoods, we had so much fun together. It was great to see you, Dot, at Walmart in Salisbury last fall and get caught up with your family news. My deepest sympathys to all of the hortie bunch.I last saw bill 5 years ago at sallies 4th of july bash.I introduced him to my wife and 2 daughters.We brought each other up to speed in life over a game of horseshoes.We reminieced of when he was my B-ball coach with the New Carrollton Boys club,he was 17 we were 13. We had the coooooolest coach of all with his Parkdale jersey and jeans we all wanted to be that smooth! Bill you will be missed by many,R.I.P.

Billy had a fire that burned in him that shown no matter what he did. I am saddened to hear about his passing and I shall keep him in my thoughts and prayers and also pray for all of his family. Like Ricky Moore, I too am drawn back to those days when we were young. Rest in peace Billy!

RIP uncle BIlly. We will always love you and miss you. You were a great uncle and most of all a great father. you were a wonderful person to be around and always had a way with words. It's feels as if it was yesterday that me and Bill were laughing at the Ford dealership together. Bill was a good man. He had a good heart to everyone that he met. What made him a greater man is that he forgave the unforgiveable. He showed great character in the face of his crisis. I'll always admire Bill for the fight that he had in him.
We used to pick on each other about our different accents. Me being southern and him being from up north.. I wish I would have had more time so I could have converted him to our southern slang.
I think about Bill often. He will always be a great memorie, and a great reminder that you can smile in the face of your advisaries.
