BELOVED MOTHER AND FOREVER OUR GRAMS
“Many women do noble things, but you surpassed them all.”
Ruth passed away at home surrounded by the love of family. She was a devoted and extraordinary mother and grandmother whose main focus in life was her family. Ruth was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on April 14, 1916. She lived in Newport Beach, California and Houston, Texas before moving to Bloomington. Though she had various careers and interests, her family was always her true passion.
Ruth was vibrant, funny, disciplined, beautiful, but most of all, she was loving and loyal. She was an example of strength, dignity, and courage even during the most challenging times. Ruth was memorable in every sense of the word and her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her special love will be cherished forever. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.
My Dear Sweet Grams:
I miss you so much! Words can't describe the love in my heart I have for you. I just can't believe you are gone. My heart is broken and the pain is so deep. You gave to me your whole life. You were the most special grammy in the whole world and you were my best friend. I will miss our daily phone calls and just wish I could hear your sweet voice just one more time. Your whole life was about your family. You were always giving and never asked for anything in return. Who I am today is a true reflection of you. You taught me so much throughout my entire life, but most of all, you taught me about love. I was always so proud of you and couldn't ask for anyone better. My love for you will never fade and you are truly within my heart. I will carry you forever in my heart and in my thoughts and in my prayers. Even though you are not here physically, you are with me forever. There is never a day that will pass that I won't think of you. I just miss you so much. I could never thank you enough for all you've done for me. And when I have children of my own, they will know all about Grams and what you meant to me. You will live on. You will forever be my Grams and I will forever be your Angel Cup from Heaven.
LEGACY OF LOVE: FAMILY CHAIN
A mother and a grandmother too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us to love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a Mom, not just as a Grandmother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
You’ve earned your peaceful sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
We little knew that morning,
God was calling your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
