My Daddy lost his battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer on August 3rd 2007 at 6:55pm surrounded by his wife of 38 years Sarah, his 3 children, and his baby sister. He was known to many as Jughead, a name he acquired in high school. He and my mom married on June 1, 1969. Not long after their wedding he was off to basic training with the USArmy National Guard. Over the years 3 children were added to the family: Shannon, Shelley and Stan. The love he had for his children was one that few people on this earth ever experience. He was a man that was never afraid to tell his children he loved them and we all knew how much he adored us. He was a strong man with a soft heart. For most of his adult life he was in law enforcement serving as the Chief Of Police in the town where he was raised. So many people have stories of how kind and funny he was. His dry sense of humor would have you guessing as to whether he was actually serious or not. If he liked you you were picked on unmercifully. Young and old were drawn to him. Though he has left us for now, we will continue to keep his memory alive in so many ways. Those who knew him will always smile when they see a flamingo or anything "tacky". That and his penny loafers with no socks were his trademarks. We miss you and love you. Soar high with Angels and watch over us all. Until we see you again....

Personal Notes

Daddy Rabbit,
Tonight like so many other nights you are on my mind. I long to hear you say "hello baby". I miss you so much. My children speak of you often...even if it is to ask how you lost your finger. I know you're watching over us all. We miss you and love you. Always, Baby Girl
