Known as Grandad to many, Alexander Dimen passed away on February 14, 2009 at the age of 93 in White Rock, BC. Predeceased by his wife Alice in 1993, Alex will be lovingly remembered as a father of 10, grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather of 29. Gifted with his hands, Alex spent his working as a carpenter. Even after retiring, he was always where he was needed, fixing a cupboard for this person or a door for that one. Family was important to him, and he always had smiles for his grandchildren and time for anyone who needed anything. He will be greatly missed by all who those knew him. Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, February 23, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72nd Ave, in Surrey BC with viewing starting at 10 am.
