Notes and messages

Dear Family and Friends,

I have some very sad news. My nephew Ricky passed away this morning. He has been on some medication and had heart failure just recently, 6weeks ago. He was 30 years old. He will be missed. We all loved him very much.

He was a nice gentle guy, that had a good sense of humor. He loved his mom and family, he and his dad were best friends and he's going to miss him
terribly. Mark will miss him too, he visited often and played video games and hung out with him. Roy and Barbara will miss Ricky too, he came for bq's and holidays and was a loving grandson. He loved his family.

We had some great times with him when our children were smaller and growing up, they all played together. Those will be happy memories. He loved to go camping and fishing in Arroyo Seco, Carmel Valley. He enjoyed their pet dogs, a chihuahua. and two hound dogs. He liked riding his bike, and skateboarding.

Debra & Tom Yauch (aunt & uncle), 20 May 2009

He graduated high school and worked at the food plants and fields in Salinas and sometimes Arizona. Ricky was on oxygen, and abreathing machine. His father John called an ambulance and Sharon and John met them at the hospital. My sister Vicky and her son were driving up to the hospital to see Ricky when they got the cell phone call- that he had passed away. John had some
pain in his chest and the dr was worried about him. Vickie and John and Sharon and Mark all decided to have him cremated. Ricky has to go for an autopsy because he died at home. Then his ashes will be sprinkled in the Seaside Cemetary where his uncle is burried. There will be no memorial service. I was at a church meeting when my mommy called. I was so upset to get this sad news. Tom and James will miss Ricky. We are all glad we got to see him last month. Please pray for the King Family. May god's love surround all of us during this time.

Vickie,

I am so sorry, and know there is nothing that words can say that will ease your pain.

This is so sad, I loved and will miss Ricky. We will always remember the steak cook outs we had at our house in Henderson, almost every time Ricky came over, LOL. Ricky came over to house a lot up till when they moved back to California. Ricky and Mike hung out and went places together while he was here also. That’s the last time we saw Ricky and that’s how we will all remember him.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or Mark.

Love you very much and will talk to you soon.
I had Lisa make me a Face Book so I could keep in touch better. Give Vickie and Mark a big! hug for me and tell them how much I love them. I will always keep Ricky in my heart right next to Ivan, Uncle Alfred & other family members that have passed on.

We loved Ricky so much it's hard to think he has passed from this world to heaven. I remember his 1st date and how nervous he was. I told him just be yourself and she will love you just as much as we do.

Vickie and I put together a Memorial Book today, 5/20/09. He was loved by anyone who knew him and had many loving people around him always. Roy, Mark & I were his sponsors @ his Baptism. Vickie had all 3 of them Baptised together.

He was a wonderful Grandson and he will always have a place in our hearts. He loved the ocean, we took him to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Point Lobos. He was a frequent visitor to our home and just like LeRoy our son said, we always BBQ when he was there. Love Grandma Barbara & Grandpa Roy

Thank you for sending the picture of Ricky .I don`t know if you remember but my brother who died just three days after I got back from Vietnam was also named Ricky. It brought back good memories of him especially as you describe your Ricky and what he means to you . It sounds like they were very much alike, so I understand how much you will miss him. Please remember how much we love you all and we pray you will be comforted by God`s love especially as it is
expressed by those around you that love you and love Ricky

Aunt Barbara,
We just wanted to say again how deeply sorry we are for this tragedy. My Mom is with Aunt Gloria, but she wanted to make sure that we let you know how deeply you are loved. These things never make any sense and seem so pointless. We just want you to know that we love you all and it is our prayer that God will send people into your lives at this time who will hold on to you when you just need to let go and grieve. We love you and if there is anything at all that you need please let us know. Nikki for Walt, Maxine, Matt and the boys!

MY BROTHER MY FRIEND - We did everything together. I loved him so much. He will always be in my heart. At San Antonio Lake one time we caught a whole line of fish. He went to live with his Dad, John, when him and Mom were divorced he was only 15yrs old. After that, life was different but we have always visited each other back and forth frequently and kept in touch. I will miss him, but know he is in a better place. MARK

MARK HIS ONLY BROTHER, 21 May 2009

Dear Mom,

You wrote such a wonderful eulogy. I hope that aunt Vickie and Mark are able to be comforted by friends and family. I was saddened that there will be no memorial service, but Stanley told me that its best to respect the decisions of his parents and that they must have a good reason not to have one.

He was so young.

I love you all,

While we did not know Ricky personally we can see that he was loved by his family and friends. As you walk through each day we hope you remember all of the good times your family has had and those still to come. I have learned that each person we meet or grow up with has an impact on our lives. The love of so many people posting here shows just how much of an impact Ricky had on each of your lives. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

We were so saddened when we heard Ricky had passed. I remember Ricky the best when we were little. He was quiet, but I remember by his actions, how he loved his Mother and his brother Mark so much. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Dear cousin Vicki, it has been so long since we have seen each other and in that time so much has happened. It's a sad thing that families become such distant strangers. Funny how the internet can bring hearts together in these times; and I am grateful for this moment in time to join hearts in the sharing of your sad news. I am with you in spirit dear cousin. Your heart is heavy and none but you know how it truly feels..... with the grief in realizing that he is no longer here.........and the PEACE in knowing he is with the Father.......and all the many memories.... bringing with them smiles between the tears. I love you and I will pray that as you love and draw close to the Lord, He will bring you through this.......... you and all those who knew and loved Ricky.

I am totally shocked to hear about Ricky's passing. It has been a few years since I had seen him and spoken to him, but I always thought about how he was doing. I knew Ricky when he worked at Dole. He was such a big and gentle soul. I watched over him when he was working in Yuma for the winter seasons. I remembered when he bought his car in Yuma (I think it was the Malibu. I know it was silver in color.) He was so excited about his new car, and he gave me a ride in it. He also took me to eat at Sonics Drive-In to thank me for watching out for him. I always hoped he was doing well. He always talked about his mother, his father, his sister, and his grandparents. I certainly know what his family are going through with Ricky's passing. I lost my mother 1 1/2 years ago, and I am still struggling with her loss. I will have all of Ricky's family in my prayers. I like to think that Ricky is in heaven.

Perhaps the loved ones who go on ahead of us are waiting for us now...waiting in a place where every moment is happy and peaceful and full of sweetness. Perhaps they are waiting to tell us a story, one with the happiest ending of all...And what seemed to us to be the ending is really only the beginning, the beginning of an eternity of perfect joy. And as you turn the pages of each tomorrow, may you be comforted by the way the story continues, each day a new chapter of beautiful memories and peaceful feelings.

May God comfort you with his love,
