A beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, Richard was born on July 4, 1944 in New York City.
He was a veteran and served proudly in the U.S. Army. He moved to Las Vegas in 1966 to live closer to his Mother and two sisters.
Everywhere he found himself, Richard easily made friends who remember his wit, charm and grace. He was the strongest, constant link in his family’s lives and that love will never be forgotten.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tia Costello; daughter, Deanna and son, Richard of Las Vegas; sisters, Rita Bawden of Las Vegas and Barbara Williams of Albuquerque; niece, Gia D'Errico Planer of Las Vegas; and grand-nephews, Gianni Giancola and Bronson Planer; as well as numerous other relatives and close friends.
Services at the Valley Funeral Home (3919 Raymert, Las Vegas) will be held on April 12, 2011 at 10am. Internment services will follow at 1pm at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
