Brandon was a deputy for Covington County, Alabama. He had previously been employed by the Florala Police Department as well as the Elba Police Deptartment. He died in a tragic traffic accident while on routine patrol.  Brandon loved his job, and he loved serving the people in the county where he grew up. Brandon graduated from Red Level High School in 1991, LBW Junior College, and Southwest Police Academy. Brandon drove trucks on the side because he loved the great outdoors and to earn a little extra money.  He had a Boston Terrier named Pete that his girlfriend, Holly, bought him for Christmas in 2003.  Pete went with Brandon when he drove the big rigs.  Brandon was an only child and is survived by his parents F. Lassiter and J. Lassiter, as well as his grandmother, V. Lassiter all of Red Level.
