Dad, you were a part of "The Greatest Generation", serving in the U.S.N. during WWII. After the war, you transferred to the U.S.A.F., serving until your retirement in the early '60s at the highest rank possible for an enlisted man. As your eldest daughter, I regret that you died before the honor now being paid to veterans of the war could be a part of your lifetime experiences. This small memorial is my gift to your spirit, and to myself and two sisters. Rest in Peace, and may the sacrifices made by you, and many others like you, never be forgotten.
