Grandma,

Thank you for being the greatest grandma anyone could have.Thank you for canning all those tomatoes and peaches for me ever year and teaching me how to plant beautiful flowers and dig potatoes no matter how hot I was.Remember when we sat on the front porch counting cars and you teaching me to tie my shoes and making Jacobs ladder out of string and letting me brush your long beautiful hair till your head was sore then teaching me to braid it.One summmer while staying with dad he had to call you so I could come back to your house at about 1am cause I told him I could not sleep without.Getting caught on the barbwire picking strawberries and blackberries filling up our white aprons we wore while you let me help you in the kitchen.Remember every July 4th at Corners Springs you would tell dad to let us take the watermelon to the creek so we could get in that COLD water and catch crawldads.All the riddles and rhymes that I have now passed on to my children. Oh all those black walnuts we cracked along with my thumbs and chunks out of your back steps.You were a wonderful and strong woman and I will deeply miss you.Tell dad I said thanks for the dimes.May you enjoy your new place as much as you enjoyed it here.I love and will miss you always.
