Shirley was born in Calgary, Alberta to Charles and Elisabeth White. Her father passed away when she was 12 years old. She has two brothers. She meet Richard Courser when she moved to Sidney, BC. They married and had two Children Diane and Richard. Shirley was a very devoted mother and grandmother to her four grandchildren. She also worked very hard at her job as head housekeeper at the Cedarwood Inn and Suites in Sidney, first working for Jim and Gert Tait and then later working for their son Les and his wife Debra Tait. She loved her job it was her second family. Even when she was on holiday's they alway's called her if there was a problem, but she enjoyed that. She also enjoyed riding on the back of her husband's Harley bike and taking trips to see other places. In the last few years of her life she started to enjoy camping as while, they had purchased a 26' trailer trailer a few months before her sudden death and had done some camping in july and beginning of august with her family. On the last camping trip they even purchased a membership to Holiday Trails Resort. She also loved being a grandmother to her four grandchildren. Mark, Travis, Abigail and Simon. She become a grandmother at a young age she was 41 when Mark was born and he would be her only grandchild for ten years. She doted on Mark. She would take him shopping for his new school clothes every August. She was looking forward to take Travis and Abigail in august as they we both starting Kindergarten in September, but she never made it. She would have been so proud of her grandchilren. She will forever be missed by her family, especially by her children and granchildren. She passed away to young and to suddenly for us. She will alway's be in our thoughts and prayers. We love you mom.
