OUR FATHER WAS A VERY SWEET AND SIMPLE MAN. YET THOUGH HE WAS A GOOD FATHER WORK WAS A PART OF HIS LIFE TOO. HE SERVED IN WORLD WAR 2 AS A SEAMAN IN THE SECOND CLASS V-6.
HE ALSO WAS RELEASED FROM THE NAVY WITH HONORS ON APRIL 21,1944. HE WAS A DEVOTED PREACHER AND LOVED HIS KIDS VERY MUCH. WE MIGHT HAVE DONE WITHOUT ALOT BUT WE HAD WHAT WE NEEDED. DADDY WAS A FINE FATHER AND HUSBAND. AND A GREAT FRIEND TO ALL WHO KNEW HIM BUT HE IS GONE NOW AND WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR MEMORIES WE LOVE YOU DADDY.
