McKISSOCK, Marguerite Joan (nee Gillon) Passed away at home on 

Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the age of 71 after a lengthy battle with 

Leukemia. Beloved wife and partner of W. Jack McKissock and mother of Linda 

Marie Wellbrock and Gordon McKissock. Will be greatly missed by 

granddaughters Jennifer and Kelly Wellbrock, and by brother Norman Gillon 

(Wanda). Joan was a founder of the Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club in 

1980 and the Ottawa Dog Obedience Club in 1984, where she taught thousands 

of handlers in training dogs.
