Angela Darlene Jones October 19, 1965- February 15, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA— Angela Darlene Jones, 42, of Columbus, GA passed in the arms of her loving husband on Friday, February 15, 2008. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 19, 2008 in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Phenix City, AL., according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL. Reverend Tom Philips will officiate. The family will receive friends today from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones was born October 19, 1965 in Columbus, GA; daughter of Jerry K. Benfield, Sr. of Granite Falls, NC and Rose Mary McCray Walk of Columbus. She graduated from Caldwell High School, Granite Falls, NC and had worked for Swift Denim with 12 years of service and was a homemaker. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles E. Benfield, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Hester Jean McCray; uncle, Lee McCray; step-father, Francis Walk; and father-in-law, John Jackson. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jones, Sr. of Columbus; her daughter, Amanda C. Stewart (Steven) of Phenix City, AL; sons, Kenneth Jones, Jr. (Shanna) Dalton Jones, both of Columbus and Josh Floyd of Phenix City, AL; father, Jerry K. Benfield, Sr. (Kitty) of Granite Falls, NC; mother, Rose Walk of Columbus; brothers, Jerry K. Benfield, Jr. (Elaine) of Opelika, AL, Chaun Benfield (Pam) of Granite Falls, NC and Jeffrey Braswell (Brenda) Valdese, NC; sisters, Anita Estes (Terry) of Phenix City, AL, Penny Newman (Jerry) of Seale, AL, Rena Purvis (Patrick) of Columbus, Kathy White (Ed) of Morganton, NC and Angela Seagle (Chris) of Vale, NC; two grandchildren; paternal grandmother, Dollie V.
