This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved daughter, Brittany Amanda Rivera who was born in Canada on December 10, 1990 and passed away on March 05, 1994 in Seattle Washington, in her bed fast asleep at the age of 3. We will remember her forever.

Brittany was born very quickly I had a doctor's appointment at 4:30pm on December 10th and she was born at 6:20pm that same day. My doctor told me I will probley deliver her in a week or so I was not dialated at all, everything looked fine. So we drove home and I decided to lay down and have a nap. I was laying down for about 20 minutes and felt alot of pressure in my tummy, so then I went to sit up and at that moment my water broke. I had three contractions just walking down the hallway. She was ready and in a rush.

We arrived at the hospital just in time, A few pushes and she was here, the best moment of my life. She was my first child. She was 7lbs 6oz, 21 inches long, black hair almost an inch in length, and blue eyes. The next day we went home. She was a very happy baby only cried when she needed something, she was sleeping through the night within a few weeks, what eles could a new mommy ask for.

But a few months of bliss suddenely turned to tragedy. On May 2nd 1991, Brittany stopped breathing. I called 911 the paramedic's arrived and revived her but she went without oxegen for a long time and because of that she suffered severe brain damage. My little girl would never be the same again. The brain damage left her blind and deaf and unable to eat. She had a feeding tube put into the side of her stomech so she could eat.

Brittany survived a few years beyond what the doctors said she would, Brittany was a fighter she was so strong. But as time went by her little body started to shut down. She passed away in her bed while everyone was sleeping in March of 1994. The worst day of my life. Brittany there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I think of you when I wake up and before I go to bed and often thoughout the day. We just celebrated what would have been your 14th birthday. The holidays are hard for me not having you here. I love you!

Brittany became a big sister on January 11/ 1992, I share your memories with your little sister. I tell her how cute you were and about your smile, laughter and sweet and funny personality you had in the short time you were here. She wishes she could of known you better, she was to young to remember you. But she misses you just as much as I do. I know one day we will be together again. I Love you baby.
