I'm dedicating this memorial to my uncle Al. He was such a great uncle who I cherished very much. He was funny, witty, loving, caring, and overall a great person to be with. He always made me laugh and smile. I'll never forget him. He was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus sometime ago. They removed the part of his esophagus that contained the cancer. Complications soon followed, with trouble breathing. They intibated him. A trach was put in a bit later and finally, his body became septic. He was unconscious for over a month and had no idea what was going on, so he wasn't in any pain. He living will stated that if he was in ill health, that he didn't want to be kept alive by life support. Those measures were stopped several days ago. He's passed away in his sleep peacefully and without pain. You'll always be remembered and loved by all your family.
