	James Patrick McCauley III, 64 of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, Jan 24, 2005 at his home.
	He was an Army veteran and served in the 1960s as a professional fireman in the Takoma Park and Riverdale, MD. areas.  He was employed at Morton’s Power Equipment as the service manager for 26 years.  He and his wife were avid travelers and loved to dance.
	Mr. McCauley is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bessie McCauley; his three children, James Patrick McCauley IV and his wife, Diane of Locust Grove, Ricky Allen McCauley and his wife Delores and his daughter Debra Jean Davis and her husband Mark all of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren, Michael Wayne McCauley, Brittney Nichole Davis and Samantha Anne McCauley; and twin great grandsons, Landen Thomas and Taylor Daulton McCauley.  He also is survived by his brother William Vincent McCauley of Frederick MD; his two sisters, Patricia Morgan of Hagerstown, MD and Betty Parks of Hughesville, MD and his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Geri Calavetinos.
	A funeral will be conducted at 1:00pm Friday, Jan 28th at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania.  Officiating will be the Rev. Tony Self.  Burial will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m.  Thursday Jan 27, at the funeral home.  
	Pallbearers will be Ric Greene, Scott Seay, Melvin Brown, Jeff Massey, Robert Massey and Tom Beau, and Ray Carter will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

my husband ,my best friend. you have been gone for two years and the hurt is so real i miss you as much today as when you walked out of my life jim i love you so much it is a everyday strugle to go on with out you.if not for our children i would be crazy. life will never be the same with out you for you were and will forever be my husband,my best friend and some day we will hold each other again .all my love your wife bess

Dad, there is a empty hole left in my heart from when God took you home to be with him, that hole will remain empty for the rest of my life until I am with you again. I hold all memories of you, I live each day remembering you and talking about you because you are still and always will be a very huge part of my life. Your spirit lives on in me yesterday, today and tomorrow - I love you dad, your daughter.

Jim getting to know you over the years as a Father inlaw really let me know the kind of man you were and what your family ment to you. You truly were a good man and a real person and I am proud to have been able to join your family and mostly know you as a friend. Your never gone from here because your family will always remember you and have you with them. Until we meet againg oneday you will truly be missed but never forgoten.

Dad, you have never been forgotten. Time has moved on and we have found a way to move on also. It's the memory's you left us as well as the values you taught us that allow us to move forward. The strength you showed during your final battle I will always remember. I was asked on a questionnaire who do you consider a hero, I responded my father for all he did for us and who he was. I do look forward to one day down the road sitting and talking with you again. I truly miss our talks.

Jim,WE ARE GOING IN TO SPRING ONE OF YOUR BEST TIMES OF THE YEAR, I KNOW HOW YOU LOVED WORKING IN THE YARD AND HAVING COFFEE ON THE FRONT PORCH LISTENING TO THE BIRDS. I HAVE A HARD TIME DOING THAT BECAUSE YOUR CHAIR IS EMPTY AND I HAVE ON ONE TO TALK WITH I MISS YOU SO MUCH AND IF I COULD I WOULD CHANGE PLACES WITH YOU , I WILL FOREVER HOLD ON TO THE MEMORIES WE SHARED AND MY FRIEND YOU WILL LIVE ON FOREVER IN MY HART I MISS YOU SO MUCH .ALL MY LOVE BESS

well got up today and had a hard time ,i was thinking of you and i was so down then i starting remembering all the good times we had and one of the most was when we were walking on the beach in Brazil when you held my hand and said we will all ways be together and live life . well that gave me a warm feeling for we are one and will forever be .miss you so much.

Pops, so much has changed for me over the past few years. I graduated high school back in June of 2006. On graduation day, I couldn't help but think about how proud you would've been to see me up there getting my diploma. I honestly couldn't have made it through without you and I thank you so much for all your caring and support and that extra push you gave me to succeed. I'll never forgot the times that we spent together and the strong bond that we have. I love you and miss you so much.
