James Patrick McCauley III, 64 of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, Jan 24, 2005 at his home.
He was an Army veteran and served in the 1960s as a professional fireman in the Takoma Park and Riverdale, MD. areas. He was employed at Morton’s Power Equipment as the service manager for 26 years. He and his wife were avid travelers and loved to dance.
Mr. McCauley is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bessie McCauley; his three children, James Patrick McCauley IV and his wife, Diane of Locust Grove, Ricky Allen McCauley and his wife Delores and his daughter Debra Jean Davis and her husband Mark all of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren, Michael Wayne McCauley, Brittney Nichole Davis and Samantha Anne McCauley; and twin great grandsons, Landen Thomas and Taylor Daulton McCauley. He also is survived by his brother William Vincent McCauley of Frederick MD; his two sisters, Patricia Morgan of Hagerstown, MD and Betty Parks of Hughesville, MD and his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Geri Calavetinos.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:00pm Friday, Jan 28th at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. Officiating will be the Rev. Tony Self. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday Jan 27, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ric Greene, Scott Seay, Melvin Brown, Jeff Massey, Robert Massey and Tom Beau, and Ray Carter will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
