BARNEY, Timothy
Born August 23, 1957. Passed into the Hands of Our Lord, May 29, 2007. The love of my life has passed away. Tim, you embodied Love, Life, and Laughter. A true friend to all around. We struggle to say goodbye to you knowing that our time with you could never be long enough. We know that your spirit will be among us as we come together to celebrate your life. Until we see you again, you will be missed by your wife, lover, friend - - your soul mate, Chelle. Your loving children Robert, Lora, Tina and Brandon. Your adoring Mother and Father-In-Law, Nealie and Richard and Your Father Bob and Mother Harriet. Your treasured sisters and brothers-in-laws, cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles and all of your numerous friends. So, until we meet again... "I love you, Honey. I'll see you tomorrow." - Michelle Barney

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Timothy Barney Memorial Fund. Bank of the West, 2287 2nd Street, Livermore, CA 94550.

The Following was written by fellow coworker, Phil Tornquist~

I HAVE KNOWN TIM SINCE 1991 WHEN I FIRST WORKED FOR THE COMPANY, AND HE WAS THE SAME TIM BACK THEN AS HE WAS NOW. TIM WAS THE KINDA GUY WHO WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU OR GIVE YOU THE SHIRT OFF OF HIS BACK. IF HE SAW YOU STRUGGLING ACROSS THE ROOM OR PLANT WITH SOMETHING, HE WAS JOHNNY ON THE SPOT TO GIVE YOU A HAND.

NOT ONLY WAS HE A GREAT GUY, HE WAS A GREAT BIG GUY; BOTH IN SIZE AND HEART. I CANNOT RECALL HOW MANY TIMES TIM WAS THE EXTRA MUSCLE I NEEDED ON JOBS OR THE INSPIRATION TO KEEP GOING AND JUST "GET IT DONE".

TIM WAS AN ANCHOR TO ALOT OF US AT JENSON MECHANICAL, HE WAS LIKE A BROTHER, NOT JUST A CO WORKER OR CASUAL AQUAINTANCE. HE WAS THE COMIC RELIEF THAT WE ALL NEEDED ON THE JOB OCCASIONALLY, AND NEVER TOOK HIMSELF SO SERIOUSLY THAT HE COULDN'T LAUGH AT HIMSELF AT TIMES.

PLEASE PRAY FOR TIM, HIS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND CO WORKERS AT JENSON MECHANICAL; AND USE THIS SITE IN REMEMBERANCE OF HIM.

He is Gone

You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your
back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.

Personal Notes

Mike and I had the joy of getting to know Tim through our SouthWinds church "building" experience. Tim was in contact with Mike daily about organizing the church help. We will be lifting up his family in our prayers today and in the future. God Bless you and give you His peace and meet every one of your family's needs. We were blessed to have known Tim.

Tim Barney was loved by everyone around him. His death shocked many people and he will be missed. Tim always had a smile on his face everytime I saw him, it's certainly not a face I'll forget.

I had the pleasure meeting and working with Tim at Southwinds. I likened him to "the big teddy bear, the one with the big smile" when describing him to anyone new on the site. I did not know him long however; it seemed that time alone didn't make you his friend, his ease and smile did. The impression on me is lasting. He had a way about him that made you want to do your best on the tasks you were given. I really enjoyed the time I had to get to know him, it is a lasting blessing!

I knew Tim for many years. He worked for my dad and then my brother at JMI. I didn't see Tim very much but every time I did he had a smile on his face and a laugh from the heart. His family and all his coworkers are in my prayers. May God give you his peace. God bless...

Words cannot describe the emptiness in my stomach & the grief in my heart. Since you died, mins seem to last for hrs & the days since I saw you seem to be only a blink away. Thanks for showing me how to be a good dad & for being my friend. Mostly, thank you for loving Denise. She always considered you her dad. You were a good man on Earth. So,I know you will be a good angel in Heaven. …at least you’ll be a big angel… Peace is knowing that I will see you again.

I met Tim through Rod Littleton when we needed some help at our plant.
I didnt know Tim but for a few days.

Each day I worked with him he would reach out and shake my hand and ask how I was doing everything he said was so positive and just talking to him made me feel good.

what little time I knew him I feel blessed because I was lucky enough to have him come into my life.
I am lucky to have met such a man

I didnt know him but I wont forget him.

God Bless you Tim
