Mike and I had the joy of getting to know Tim through our SouthWinds church "building" experience. Tim was in contact with Mike daily about organizing the church help. We will be lifting up his family in our prayers today and in the future. God Bless you and give you His peace and meet every one of your family's needs. We were blessed to have known Tim.

Tim Barney was loved by everyone around him. His death shocked many people and he will be missed. Tim always had a smile on his face everytime I saw him, it's certainly not a face I'll forget.

I had the pleasure meeting and working with Tim at Southwinds. I likened him to "the big teddy bear, the one with the big smile" when describing him to anyone new on the site. I did not know him long however; it seemed that time alone didn't make you his friend, his ease and smile did. The impression on me is lasting. He had a way about him that made you want to do your best on the tasks you were given. I really enjoyed the time I had to get to know him, it is a lasting blessing!

I knew Tim for many years. He worked for my dad and then my brother at JMI. I didn't see Tim very much but every time I did he had a smile on his face and a laugh from the heart. His family and all his coworkers are in my prayers. May God give you his peace. God bless...

Words cannot describe the emptiness in my stomach & the grief in my heart. Since you died, mins seem to last for hrs & the days since I saw you seem to be only a blink away. Thanks for showing me how to be a good dad & for being my friend. Mostly, thank you for loving Denise. She always considered you her dad. You were a good man on Earth. So,I know you will be a good angel in Heaven. …at least you’ll be a big angel… Peace is knowing that I will see you again.

I met Tim through Rod Littleton when we needed some help at our plant.
I didnt know Tim but for a few days.
Each day I worked with him he would reach out and shake my hand and ask how I was doing everything he said was so positive and just talking to him made me feel good.
what little time I knew him I feel blessed because I was lucky enough to have him come into my life.
I am lucky to have met such a man
I didnt know him but I wont forget him.
God Bless you Tim

Tim was more than just a "contractor" who came to our plant to do mechanical jobs. He was like a co-worker to some of the people at our plant. He spent a lot of time here, especially during the past year. His wonderful smile and his friendly personality were always a welcome addition to everyones day. I'm sure he is in God's loving embrace where he belongs. I'll see you in heaven some day my good friend.

I never met Tim, but I get to see take advantage of his hard work. Tim helped erect the Southwinds Church's new building recently, and that's my link to his life. I am so sorry for his untimely death and hope and pray that all the family is comforted by the hand of God.

It is nearly impossible to ever remember Tim without a smile or a funny comment no matter how long the day or impossible the task seemed.
We all consider ourselfs lucky in life if we meet just a few people like him.
It is impossible to walk through Blommer Chocolate (and many, many other places) and not think... Tim did that... Tim built that...
With a smile he did it...

Tim was such a fun person; he always had a smile for everyone. Every once in a while if he ended his work day at the shop/office he would come to the front office and hide behind the entry wall. He would take his tape measure and move it across the front desk, papers, typewriter extending it towards my desk, silently moving it toward me until I realized something was advancing my way. He was a real comic and kept us all on the lighter side of life. We will all miss you Timmy.

Tim Barney
A big man
As anyone can see
What is he doing right now?
Is he waiting just for me?
I mean
It’s never our time to go
We’ve all lost relatives and friends
But he is one so many know
His big heart
And that big smile
That big hug
And never any guile
It was always fun to see him
He is always like a best friend
I hope when it’s my time to go
He is just around the bend

I am proud to have had Tim Barney as my very good friend for seventeen years. He made me a better father, friend and person by watching his example. Tim loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was intensly competitive, but always with a proper perspective. He helped me countless times, but I never had to ask for help. I love him like a brother and will never forget him.

Tim, We miss you more than words can say. We are better people for knowing you. You have done an amazing job with your children. You live in them and the rest of us are blessed to have them in our lives. They are so brave and have been there to comfort the rest of us and show us how to go on without you. Your example, will continue to teach them throughout their lifetime. Your friends will watch over your family and we know you are watching over them also. Until we see you again.

TIMMY, IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE I HEARD YOUR VOICE, SINCE I SAW YOU MY BROTHER. I MISS YOU, I MISS THE COMMRADERIE WE SHARED ON JOBS, AND THE LAUGHS WE HAD AT EACH OTHERS EXPENSE. I MISS PULLING UP AT 7 AM AND SEEING YOU, WITH YOUR TRUCK DOOR OPEN, TYING YOUR BOOTS, AND SMILING AND SINGING TO THE RADIO.........THEN AS I APPROACHED; YOU'D LET OUT A GREAT BIG "GOOD MORNING A--HOLE!" AND LAUGH.........
I LONG FOR THE DAY WHEN I SEE YOU AGAIN BROTHER, AND WE CAN LAUGH TOGETHER AGAIN.
