Robert was married three times and a daughter Bobbi Jo Shannon was born out of one of them. He served in the armed forces and started out in the army which led him then to the marines and ended with retiring from the air force. He went to war and fought bravely for a country he loved so much. He was a sport advocate, didn't matter which sport he loved them all.
