George Singleton was born to Daisy Martin Singleton and the late Leroy Lonon Singleton December 19, 1942 in Savannah, Georgia.  George was educated in the Chatham County School System. 
He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force.
He married Bertha (Sis)Williams Singleton on August 1, 1974.
He was an Auto Mechanic by trade.
George was a true father and friend. And very dedicated to everyone he came into contact with.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 29 years, Bertha Williams Singleton. Five sons, George, Robert and Korey Singleton, Tyrone and Lewis Gilbert. Three daughters Tonya Singleton, Sheila Gilbert and Janice Gilbert Walbey. Two sisters, JoAnne Murray and Rosalyn Denmark. A very close cousin Elaine Martin. 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A very special friend Eleanor Ward. And a host of other relatives.
The Homegoing Celebration for George Singleton will be Friday June 17, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bynes and Royal Funeral Chapel.
