Kevin grew up in Bloomington and graduated from Lincoln High on June 3,1970. He was a session Drummer and played for such bands as Chocolate Wristband and Played one session with the Doors thanks to his good friend Jimmy Reed at W.D.G.Y. Later he helped form a garage band called the "Guys". He also was given credit for playing with The stone ponies, Linda Ronstandt's early group

He enlisted in the Navy in 1971 and was shipped to Vietnam where he won Two purple hearts and countless other medals. He was injuried in the line of duty.Spinal damage and fractured skull were some of his injuries.He served in The navy but did not believe in killing and when he didn't re-enlist he left his uniform on the ship and sent his medals back to Richard Nixion in a form of protest. In 1972 he married a country girl from Glennville Minnesaota and had their first child in July 1973

They later had two other children Jeremy Lewis Vogland (10/14/75) and Kirsten Elizabeth Vogland (2/27/86) Kevin retired from the navy in may 1977 From his injuries and later joined the Burnsville Police Force on the Narcotics squad. His long hair and mountian man beard made him the perfect undercover cop. He won praise but quit due to scandels in the police force.
He got involved in writing polical articles and was highly involved with the National Republican Comitee After he worked in the comitee to elect Ted Kennedy in the late 70's early 80's.

He was in a near fatal car accident on Oct 25,1990. He broke his hip in five different places, broke his left leg, bruised his heart, knocked his heart beat out of rythm and he suffered memory loss from brain damage. He was in the veterans hospital till Dec 1990.
the accident in 1990 left him on crutches for the next 12 years suffering from blood clots to the brain, heart and other areas.He still was actively involved in writing and was invited to Ronald Regan's birthday party and even received christmas cards from Newt Gingrich and Oliver North.He became a Big fan of Rush Limbaugh also

He began losing the use of his hands and foot when they became swelled up. His shoes no longer fit when he went to his 50th birthday party.
He later died from injuries from his car accident on the morning of June 11, 2002....days after his birthday
